U.S. Northern Command to Serve Mexico and Canada under NAU
Published at The Watchdog January 2nd,

I received an email today about the U.S. 5th Army command and how it has changed its name to the U.S. Army North. Their new insignia includes all of North America. The article on the home page of their website clearly states that they have a new mission, which is to support Mexico and Canada.
One of the stated goals of the Security Prosperity Partnership of North America, is merge the U.S., Mexico and Canada and to combine our military forces and secure a new North American perimiter.
5thArmy Website
“There is no organization more critical to protecting the United States than U.S. Northern Command and its components,” Turner said. “I look forward to the challenges ahead.”
United States Army North is the Army’s newest service component command and reports to U.S. Northern Command, the unified command responsible for homeland defense and civil support.”
The command’s new mission includes defense of the United States homeland, support to civil authorities during natural or manmade disasters, and security cooperation activities with the armies of Canada and Mexico.”
So the new U.S. Army North reports to the new U.S. Northern Command. USNORTHCOM was established on Oct. 1, 2002 under the Bush regime. If you visit their website you’ll notice that their insignia also includes Mexico and Canada. They further define the North American perimiter in their about us page.
“USNORTHCOM’s AOR includes air, land and sea approaches and encompasses the continental United States, Alaska, Canada, Mexico and the surrounding water out to approximately 500 nautical miles. It also includes the Gulf of Mexico and the Straits of Florida. The defense of Hawaii and our territories and possessions in the Pacific is the responsibility of U.S. Pacific Command. The defense of Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands is the responsibility of U.S. Southern Command.
The commander of USNORTHCOM is responsible for theater security cooperation with Canada and Mexico.”
It’s scary how it’s all coming together so quickly. They may actually achieve their stated goal of a North American Union by 2010.

National Guard Chopper Crashes Near California Border
National Guard Chopper Crashes Near California Border With Mexico
Helicopter Was Ferrying Border Patrol agents
POSTED: 4:36 pm PST January 2, 2007
SAN DIEGO, Calif. -- A California National Guard helicopter ferrying Border Patrol agents crashed in a rural area near the U.S.-Mexico border on Tuesday, injuring all nine people aboard, authorities said.
Five Border Patrol agents and four members of the Guard were aboard the UH-1 helicopter, said Col. Dave Baldwin, director of planning and operations for the California National Guard.
Five people with neck and back injuries were airlifted to hospitals, said Jan Caldwell, spokeswoman for the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.
Injuries were described as moderate to major, said Sheriff's Lt. Dave Myers.
The helicopter, one of the older models used by the Guard, was on a routine mission, Baldwin said, taking agents either to or from a remote site along the border.
It went down in the Otay Mountain area about 20 miles southeast of downtown San Diego and a few miles north of the border. The aircraft came to rest on its belly, with its top rotor snapped off and what appeared to be its tail thrust to its side.
A National Guard accident investigation team was en route.
Authorities wouldn't speculate on the cause. Capt. Brennan Blue of the California Department of Forestry, which provided medical response, said that power lines were down near the crash site but that it was unclear whether they went down before or after the crash.
The National Weather Service said skies were clear and winds were light, although a wind advisory was called for the mountains mid-Tuesday.
The Bell UH-1 Iroquois "Huey" went down on the peak near the U.S.- Mexico border shortly before 4 p.m., sheriff's Lt. William Donahue said.
Television news broadcasts showed the wreckage of the chopper strewn next to a winding mountain road as emergency crews carried victims on stretchers to a nearby U.S. Border Patrol helicopter.
The California Department of Forestry said at about 3:45 p.m. that they had received a call from the Border Patrol that a helicopter had gone down and that two agents were believed to be on board the aircraft when it went down near the intersection of Otay Mountain Truck Trail.
Emergency crews took people out of the area on stretchers.
Nearly a dozen vehicles from multiple agencies were at the crash scene.
The doors of the aircraft were off -- they were not visible anywhere according to NBC San Diego.
California National Guard Capt. Mike Morgan said the UH-1 was on a mission for Operation Jumpstart, taking the border agents to mountainous areas inaccessible by vehicle.
The operation stems from a plan announced last year by President Bush to deploy as many as 6,000 National Guard troops along the U.S.-Mexico border for about two years to help local and federal law enforcers stop illegal immigration.

LOS AMIGOS DE BUSH
The disturbing ties of some of George W. Bush’s Latino advisors

Those who say that George W. Bush has scant knowledge of foreign affairs don’t understand his family’s relationship with Mexico.
If one event could be said to make that relationship visible, it had to be the state dinner given eleven years ago by President Bush for Mexico’s president, Carlos Salinas. It was an elegant yet boisterous gala, where the biggest movers and shakers in Texas and Mexico congregated and celebrated. This group was to become W’s Mexican legacy, a gift of ties and connections passed on from the father to his son.
What was not visible was that the group included two men with numerous links to drug cartel figures. These men helped George W. Bush win the Latino vote in Texas. Which raises a few questions: How did these guys get into the Bush circle? What else do they do for him? And, to rephrase a famous query, what did the presidential candidate know and when did he know it?
A glance around the fourteen tables at the 1989 dinner showed that pains were taken to arrange them so that no one appeared more important than the others. There was a smattering of celebrities — Anthony Quinn, Douglas Fairbanks, Jr., Barbara Walters and Larry King. Bush’s son Jeb and his Mexican wife Columba joined the soirée, too.
The Mexican president had spent a long day with President Bush signing trade pacts, the precursors of NAFTA. Salinas brought his so-called Dream Team: his commerce secretary, finance minister, and his personal Machiavelli, Jose Córdoba. It would later be astounding to see, as the decade unfolded, how many of that administration’s proud men and women fell shamefully from grace — some exiled, some imprisoned and some assassinated.
No one knew it then, but many at that banquet would survive to one day help young W beat a path back to the White House. There were loyal “Bushfellas” who were old friends of the family: Commerce Secretary Robert Mosbacher Sr., General Colin Powell, and George Bush Senior’s ever-present friend, Secretary of State James Baker. Gary Jacobs, whose Texas bank was about to be bought by the son of Mexico’s billionaire-politico Carlos Hank González, was also a guest. Tony Garza, then a young judge, is now a Bush cabinet contender. Today, all are advisors or contributors to W’s campaign.
Hidden among the glitterati were two relative unknowns. They were, however, familiar to the group at hand. They were the loyal “Amigos de Bush” from San Antonio: criminal defense lawyer Roy Barrera Jr. and car dealer Ernesto Ancira Jr. In contrast to the Salinas group, the ties of Barrera and Ancira to drug cartels would remain unnoticed for another decade. Their ties to George W. would grow stronger....

2 illegals jump into the bed of a Minutemans pickup, while on patrol
Today, while on patrol during Operation Sovereignty at the South Texas border, 2 illegals jumped into the back of a pickup drivien my Minutemen patrolling the border. They said they quickly called the coordinator (Shannon McGauley) which thought they were joking. After he realized that it had indeed happened, he instructed them to get them out of their pickup and call it into Border Patrol, which subsequently ended in the illegals arrest and hopefully deportation.

DEL RIO - A secretive multi-agency law enforcement blitz targeting human and drug trafficking in a desolate stretch of the border has curtailed illegal activity and befuddled smuggling cartels, Gov. Rick Perry disclosed Tuesday.
The three-week initiative that ended Monday in five border counties used state troopers and sheriff's deputies as a second line of defense behind the U.S. Border Patrol and other federal agencies, with surprising results, Perry said.

Bush Administration Quietly Plans NAFTA Super Highway
Please pass this on. It looks like a stake thru the heart of American labor. How the public reacts to this, in conjunction with the immigration issue, the ports deal, and the airlines, should indicate whether America is worth saving.

Quietly but systematically, the Bush Administration is advancing the plan to build a huge NAFTA Super Highway, four football-fields-wide, through the heart of the U.S. along Interstate 35, from the Mexican border at Laredo, Tex., to the Canadian border north of Duluth, Minn.
Once complete, the new road will allow containers from the Far East to enter the United States through the Mexican port of Lazaro Cardenas, bypassing the Longshoreman’s Union in the process. The Mexican trucks, without the involvement of the Teamsters Union, will drive on what will be the nation’s most modern highway straight into the heart of America. The Mexican trucks will cross border in FAST lanes, checked only electronically by the new “SENTRI” system. The first customs stop will be a Mexican customs office in Kansas City, their new Smart Port complex, a facility being built for Mexico at a cost of $3 million to the U.S. taxpayers in Kansas City....

Los Angeles, CA -- The November 2004 election has come and gone. One of the first items for the second term of the Bush Administration will be a big push to LEGALIZE the millions of ILLEGAL ALIENS here in America. WHOOAA! Where did this come from?
This agenda item wasn't a campaign pledge. It wasn't mentioned by President Bush at any campaign rally anywhere in America at any time prior to the election. Yet it is the number one agenda item to come out of the White House post election. America, we've been snookered again.

The Marine Corps Gunnery Sergeant in the picture is Michael Burghard, part of the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Team that is supporting 2nd Brigade 28th Infantry Division (Pennsylvania Army National Guard).
Leading the fight is Gunnery Sgt Michael Burghardt, known as "Iron Mike" or just "Gunny". He is on his third tour in Iraq. He had become a legend in the bomb disposal world after winning the Bronze Star for disabling 64 IEDs and destroying 1,548 pieces of ordnance during his second tour. Then, on September 19, he got blown up. He had arrived at a chaotic scene after a bomb had killed four US soldiers. He chose not to wear the bulky bomb protection suit. "You can't react to any sniper fire and you get tunnel-vision," he explains. So, protected by just a helmet and standard-issue flak jacket, he began what bomb disposal officers term "the longest walk", stepping gingerly into a 5ft deep and 8ft wide crater....

Company Hopes Sign Keeps Illegal Immigrants Away
POSTED: 11:11 am CDT June 13, 2006
VAN BUREN, Ark. -- Managers at a Van Buren job site have posted an immigration sign with hopes of preventing any problems with illegal immigrants working there.
The sign reads, "This Site Monitored By Immigration," and it's visible at a site on Fayetteville Road. Managers said they just wanted to be upfront and let people know they are in compliance with the law when it comes to their hiring practices.
"That's why we put the sign out there and just let them, warn them right off the bat," said job site Superintendent Rickey Marise.
Immigration officials said they don't monitor job sites, but they encourage employers to make sure all of their employees can legally work in this country.

There's something new at your local Dunkin' Donuts, and, some might say it's more satisfying than a hot cup of coffee and a fresh donut.
Recently, the nationwide chain began posting signs in its stores alerting customers and potential employees, "We follow the law! This company hires lawful workers only."
The new signs arrived just after the company signaled that it joined the Basic Pilot Program which quickly and easily allows employers to verify a worker's status using online databases from the Social Security Administration and the Department of Homeland Security.
Stephen Horn, chief legal officer for Dunkin' Brands Inc., said
the donut chains are participating in the Basic Pilot Program due to "the growing awareness of the hiring and employment of undocumented workers and the difficulty faced by employers for screening new hires within the confines of the law."
Whether or not you're a Dunkin' Donuts customer, please let the company know that the majority of Americans appreciate and applaud their efforts to act as a responsible corporate citizen in communities across America.

I don't know how everybody else feels about it, but to me I think Hispanic people in this country, legally or illegally, made a huge public relations mistake with their recent demonstrations.
I don't blame anybody in the world for wanting to come to the United States of America, as it is a truly wonderful place. But when the first thing you do when you set foot on American soil is illegal it is flat out wrong and I don't care how many lala land left heads come out of the woodwork and start trying to give me
sensitivity lessons. I don't need sensitivity lessons, in fact I don't have anything against Mexicans, I just have something against criminals and anybody who comes into this country illegally is a criminal and if you don't believe it try coming into America from a foreign country without a passport and see how far you get...

*Photos pending*
photo by "Sadie Forwards" (annon. MM Volunteer) 05-27-06, hwy 92, at approx. 10:00 p.m North of Emory Oak.
Odd as it may sound, these guys did not speak English OR Spanish!!!!! This photo was taken at 10 p.m. 2 hours after the MM called in 16 illegal aliens sneaking under the hwy 92 at Emory Oak, in Cochise County, Az.
A group of illegal aliens were hiding in a local residents out building, jut 3/4 of a mile north from the area that they were spotted and called into Border Patrol, by MM volunteers.
The dogs are barking throughout the neighborhood and it seems that 14 illegal aliens are still missing.

Bush/Fox and Company planned to sell out America
I remember the meeting where this was planned, it was when we were on the road to Cochise County, AZ. for the Minuteman Project. This is when he called us "vigilantes."

America FOR SALE-Inquire within the Senate
The Senate has passed its Amnesty bill and here is a list of the Senators that sold this country out, and a list of the ones that are holding firm to the law and America’s desire to not have Amnesty.
Just so you know exactly what’s on the line here… THE SENATE VOTED TO GIVE ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS GREATER RIGHTS THAN AMERICAN CITIZENS.
Here are just a few of the special privileges that illegals get that you don’t under the Senates bill....

Texas Border - Scene Of Terrorist Infiltration - Fuels Concerns Over Dirty Bomb
May 19, 2006 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNews.org - A shocking report by Texas television news station 5 - KRGV - details widespread penetration of the border between Texas and Mexico by suspected terrorists.
1. Government reports show that the narco-trafficing gangs MS13 and Zeta are known to be engaged in the smuggling of high value illegal aliens into the United States.
2. Two fully functional IEDs and the components for thirty more were seized in Laredo just a few months ago.
Fred Burton a former federal counter-terror expert - now with anti-terror research group Stratfor - is working to track terrorist groups.
He states:
"We do have a national security concern here..there has been intelligence out there that al-Qaeda has looked at that...the chaos on the border...looked at the vulnerablities."
Sigifredo Gonzalez the Sheriff of Zapata County has been following the developments and is convinced that a dirty bomb could easily be smuggled across the border, suggesting that if, "people can smuggle three thousand pounds of dope in here," there is no barrier to smuggling a large explosive device in a similar manner.
Ominously, 51 suspected terrorists, hailing from the countries of Iran, Iraq, Syria, Egypt and Pakistan were arrested crossing the border in 2005.

I WANT MY COUNTRY BACK
By Frosty Wooldridge
“We have a crisis looming and the cause is not clear,” said Olivia Ciambruschini of Owings Mills, Maryland. “Is it because no one cares--no one is really aware of the seriousness of this crisis? Do you not know the power we possess when we are united?
“Our voices are not being heard. We complain to each other, but we are preaching to the choir. We must tell our leaders and the world what we want to happen and that we will no longer accept the crumbs being tossed our way. We will no longer be appeased with a show of insincere concern. Our voices, quiet for too long, must be raised; no longer to be silenced...

Minuteman Lawncare...Coming to a City near you!
Several years ago, my Son and I had a lawncare business in 2000-2002 and then I moved to the Country and didn't have the time. But recently after a reporter [Bud Kennedy](http://www.twincities.com/mld/dfw/news/columnists/bud_kennedy/13608375.htm) wrote the article asking "so does Cindy Lou' do lawns" I thought long and hard about it and decided to start my own business again. Now, around here probably 80+% of the lawncare businesses are Mexican and/or hire Illegals. So I wanted to make sure that folks knew, when they saw my flyers that I was a PROUD American! I have attached the flyer.
Also, I added something really wonderful to the mix, in that I will give each of the customers a small flag as a parting gift, that they can add to their mailbox, car antenna or that they can place on their porch. And I also will pledge that with every yard I mow/edge/landscape, I will send $5.00 of that money to the guys living at the border in Campo. (I am also hoping to sell some of my MMP bumper stickers to the supporters this way, also raising cash for the guys at Campo, but also adding awareness with participation!) I want to see the stickers on cars, all over town!
So, if you are so inclined, and would like to do this in your own City, just erase the rest of my cell number listed on the flyer and add your own and print them out and have fun!!!
If you use my flyer, please get a pic of you mowing a lawn and send it in, and I will post it on a website.
Thanks!

And Mr. Bud Kennedy.....Thanks for the idea! Little did you know, your tirade helped our movement, more than you will ever know!

Border Patrol eager for National Guard aid

PHOENIX - Border Patrol Spokesman Sean King says if National Guard troops come to Southern Arizona to help, there will be more than enough for them to do.
King, public affairs officer for the U.S. Border Patrol, said there are plenty of his officers in his agency who are stuck behind desks and doing routine work that need not be done by an armed and sworn agent. The Hidden Pages of CAFTA
CAFTA is 2,400 pages long
The Hidden Pages of CAFTA
by Liza Grandia
At 2,400 pages, the Central America Free Trade Agreement (CAFTA) isn't really about trade. Frankly, you don't need 2,400 pages to eliminate tariffs and regulations on exports and imports. But, you might need 2,400 pages to smuggle through a new set of transnational corporate rights disguised by complicated legalese. I wonder, how many of our Congressional representatives will have even attempted to read this trade to me before next week's vote?
I recall in 1994 that only one senator Republican; Hank Brown (R-CO), accepted Ralph Nader's challenge to win $10,000 for charity by taking a simple ten-question quiz on the content of the World Trade Organization (WTO) agreement. After studying the agreement, Brown announced to the press: "I am a Republican, pro business and a proponent of the free market economy and I am here to speak out against the WTO. For when you read this text - and I invite my colleague senators to do this - you will understand that the WTO is fundamentally undemocratic."
Any naïve Congressperson who thinks CAFTA is merely about free trade should look carefully at its provisions on government contracts and corporate lawsuits, among others.
Government contracts. For any purchases over $117,000 (eventually to be lowered to $58,000), CAFTA forces governments to open up bidding to transnational corporations. That means that states will not longer be able to give preference to home-based businesses, and so mom and pop stores in Central America and the U.S. will suddenly be competing with the Bechtels and the Halliburtons of the world.
Corporate lawsuits against governments. Perhaps CAFTA's most worrisome provision expands the rights that corporations got under NAFTA to sue national governments over any laws perceived as barriers to trade and foreign investment. For instance, when California banned a carcinogenic gasoline additive called MTBE because it was seeping into the state's drinking water, the chemical manufacturer, Methanex, sued California for infringing on its trade rights under NAFTA and demanded $970 million in compensation. Such suits are a direct threat to democracy because they prioritize the profits of foreign corporations over a country's own environmental, social, and labor laws.
Already corporations are planning more such lawsuits. If CAFTA passes, a subsidiary of Harken Energy (on whose board George W. Bush once served) has said it will demand $58 billion from Costa Rica (whose entire GDP is only $37 billion) in compensation for hypothetical future lost profits, if they are not allowed to drill offshore in Costa Rica's protected Talamanca region--one of the planet's richest marine ecosystems, and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
CAFTA also encourages privatization, especially for government services in health, water, energy, and social security. In agriculture, it will allow transnational agribusiness cartels to dump food commodities at below-market prices. It will forbid the public health sector from buying life-saving generic drugs for diseases like AIDS.
Upon close examination, one realizes that CAFTA is not a "free trade" agreement, but a corporate trade agreement that transforms foreign investment from a privilege to an inalienable right.
CAFTA is like having a house guest who cleans out your refrigerator, claims your nicest bed, spends hours in the bathroom, takes exclusive control of the television remote control, and then-like Paris Hilton-demands that you pay for the pleasure of her company and then writes you off as a business expense.
There are alternatives. If the U.S. is serious about strengthening economic ties with our closest neighbors, we could take a Common Market approach like Mercosur or the European Union. Europe opened up not only trade, but also labor markets to the lesser-developed regions of Europe. And, to help poorer member countries like Ireland become equal trading partners, the E.U. gives back 3.5% of Ireland's GDP in grants.
In the meanwhile, the U.S. has a perfectly sound trade agreement with Central America called the Caribbean Basin Initiative, which already makes most of our trade with Central America duty free. Congress should defeat CAFTA and send the Bush administration back to negotiate a real trade agreement that every U.S. and Central American citizen can read in less time than the pages of King James version of the Bible and Gone With the Wind combined.

NAFTA has been a disaster for the United States' balance of trade with Mexico. It was also a disaster for Mexico's peasant farmers, who got displaced by agribusiness and are now spilling into the US as illegal aliens.
So along comes CAFTA. Read about some of its provisions and see why it must be opposed. It is another blow against sovereignty, and a step toward globalization as planned by the MoneyMasters.
I wonder how many of our Congressional representatives can read.

Troops on the Border: Reality versus Spin
By U.S. Rep. Charlie Norwood
Earlier this year Arizona Governor Janet Napalitano announced a "state of emergency" for the Arizona border due to the flood of illegal immigration, and ordered her National Guard to the border with Mexico.
The "deployment" consisted of about 170 Guardsmen, who were assigned to help inspect cargo shipments coming through legal entry points, which does nothing to stem the tide of illegal immigration one whit. But even if they had been assigned to real border patrol duty, that's less that one soldier for every 2 miles of Arizona's border with Mexico...

Herndon Councilmember Walks Off the Job - Says Town was "Kidnapped" During Election - forthecause.us
May 10, 2006
In Herndon, Virginia, Councilmember Steven Mitchell announced his
immediate resignation from the Herndon Town Council and then surprised
everyone by walking out of the public meeting. On May 2nd, Mitchell was
voted out of office, along with the Mayor and several other councilmembers
who supported the establishment of a taxpayer-funded day labor center.
Prefacing his announcement, Mitchell expressed regret at how the town
became polarized over the day labor issue and the style of politics that
emerged to deal with it.
He also said the town was "kidnapped" by people with national agendas.
"People with national agendas should leave this town," he said. Mitchell
said he wished there could have been more time to bring the two sides
together in the day labor debate.
On the way out, he shook hands with the Mayor-elect Steve DeBenedittis and
other incoming councilmembers who were in attendance.
During the public comments phase of the Town Council meeting, Herndon
resident Ruth Tatlock took the podium and charged Nathan Muller and Linda
Muller, founders of Forthecause.us, with exerting a dangerous influence in
the town elections. Holding back tears, Tatlock told the Town Council she
feared the incoming mayor would "play right into their hands."
Personal note: People on the losing side of the Herndon election were so
devasted by the unanticipated result that they must now blame their defeat
on a greater conspiracy involving outside interests with a nefarious
national agenda.
The reality is Nathan and I played a very small role in the Herndon
election and were quite content in helping others with their activities.
The people we worked with were very dedicated, knowledgeable, organized
and motivated.
Most of all, they really care about Herndon. We found the winning
candidates to be very intelligent, independent, experienced and capable --
not the kind of people susceptible to manipulation of any kind. On the
contrary, we are convinced the new Town Council will listen to and be
responsive to all Herndon citizens.
And when they encounter people with differing views, they will not call
them racists, accuse them of being emotional, or dismiss them as having
irrational fears.
Most of all, they will never point to people during a Town Council meeting
and yell, "Shame on you! Shame on you! And shame on you!"
Unfortunately, the outgoing Mayor and Town Council engaged in all of these
behaviors, which polarized Herndon during the day labor debate. Their
deviousness was in campaigning for re-election on the promise of healing
divisions that they themselves created.

The Posse Comitatus Act
WARNING
In the last two days, reference has been made twice to putting National Guard on the Border or instituting Military Law.
Reference: (Peter Kunz) "...until he reaches his goal of having the National Guard on the border to create a secure border..."
Reference: (Maddie) "Military Law will insure that those in change will follow orders. They are trained that way. Plain and simple."
Part of the neoconservative agenda has been, and continues to be, finding some way to repeal The Posse Comitatus Act:
The Posse Comitatus Act is a United States federal law (18 U.S.C. § 1385) passed in 1878 after the end of Reconstruction. The Act was intended to prohibit Federal troops from supervising elections in former Confederate states. It generally prohibits Federal military personnel and units of the United States National Guard under Federal authority from acting in a law enforcement capacity within the United States, except where expressly authorized by the Constitution or Congress. The Posse Comitatus Act and the Insurrection Act substantially limit the powers of the Federal government to use the military for law enforcement.
The original act referred only to the United States Army. The Air Force was added in 1956, and the Navy and the Marine Corps have been included by a regulation of the Department of Defense. This law is often mentioned when it appears that the Department of Defense is interfering in domestic disturbances. [Wikipedia]
To this date, the neoconservatives have failed at repealing the Act, and it seems they are using various people to infiltrate groups to make it appear as if the thought of "National Guard" on the borders is a new and original idea, and to garner support from the public-at-large, making them believe martial law was their idea in the first place.
These kinds of "suggestions" are nothing more than an overt end run at repealing The Posse Comitatus Act. Please recognize them as such.
While I do not think most of us would mind National Guard on the border for a short period of time to assist in getting control of and securing the borders, I do think we would mind the declaration of martial law to which this could easily lead.
We are looking at a situation right here, right now with illegal aliens in our streets -millions of them - disrupting the "flow of normal civic life."
Have you wondered why the police have been ordered to stand down? Why the Border Patrol acts in collusion with the Mexican government regarding the location of the Minutemen on the borders? Why the socialist/communist groups La Raza, SPLC, ACLU, AFL MeCHA etc. are permitted absolute freedom as they erode the rights of American citizens? Why the entire infrastructural system of the United States and its inadequacies is not addressed as the growth of population overwhelms our ability to sustain ourselves?
How about this explanation...
"The plan is to cause major disruptions - illegal in nature - in cities across the United States to disrupt the flow of normal civic life. These actions will tie up Homeland Security forces and create a golden opportunity for domestic terrorists." [David Horowitz]
“In January 2002 the Pentagon submitted a proposal for deploying troops on American streets. One month later John Brinkerhoff, the author of the 1982 FEMA [continuity of government] memo, published an article arguing for the legality of using U.S. troops for purposes of domestic security” in violation of the Posse Comitatus Act. [David Horowitz]
Do you wonder at all when you read messages like - "we need Military law on the border" what these people are thinking, and what their purpose might be? Do you realize what life would be like under martial law?
Ask Luca Zanna what it's like to live under martial law - under communism - and pay close attention to his response.
Be careful what you wish for or demand, and please do some research before supporting brilliant ideas like "put the National Guard on the border" without qualification of temporary status, or suggesting "military law" as an answer to the securing the borders.
These suggestions, if put in place, will destroy life in America as we have known it.
Thanks Liz for the legwork!

Saye sez…Sheriff Young, We're Going To Take You Out!
By: Patricia Saye
Your days are numbered, because we are going to take you out when we remember in November, as we walk into the Voting booth!
We in Clark County will do the same as voters in Herndon Virginia, when on May 2nd; Herndon voters unseated the mayor and two Town Council members who supported illegal alien day-labor sites.
Let this serve as a formal notice:”We the People” of Nevada, and of Clark County, will do the same as Herndon did, come this November, when our city, county, state and federal law-makers, which includes Sheriff, side with the law-breakers, when they support, and defend the illegal alien criminals.
“It is a sad day in Nevada, when law-makers, side with law-breakers, against law-abiding citizens.”
Week’s prior to May 1st, we were hearing about the “Day Without Immigrants Protest” (which should have been – A Day Without Illegals) either on the television, the radio, or in the newspapers and in our e-mails, telling the adults, and the children of the “Latino Community” to walk out of their job, and out of the their schools; telling them to march in solidarity, not to buy anything for the entire day boycotting America.
Mid-morning of May 1st, an international Socialist and Communist holiday, I attempted to find out, if those marching in the streets of Las Vegas that morning had obtained a permit, and if those who were scheduled to march that evening, had a permit.
After being transferred from one person, to another at least 5 – 10 times, I finally left a message with the City Communication Director, David Riggleman, asking him to return my call, which he did at approximately 4:00 p.m.
When I asked Mr. Riggleman if the organizers for both marches had obtained a permit, he said “Those marching this morning did not have a permit.” He continued to say, “Those scheduled for this evening, had made an application for one, however as we speak, they were still in negotiations, and doubted they would have one by the time the event is to start in a few hours.” I thanked him for his time and information, and the conversation was over.
At this point, I was angry! I was mad! I was up set that I, and as well as other Nevadans, especially here in Clark County, are held accountable when we violate the law, even if it’s “jaywalking.”
While waiting for the City Communications Director to return my call, I decided to call Metro’s non-emergency 311 number, to ask if they knew whether or not the organizers of the marchers were going be arrested, or cited for not having obtained a permit to march down the street. I was told “There are thousand of them, and only about 200 of us! We are out numbered! What do you expect us to do? What would we cite them for? The only thing we could cite them for, would be for jaywalking! I thanked her and hung up the phone in disgust.
Hoping to catch Rolando Larraz, Editor of the Las Vegas Tribune, before the paper went to press, I immediately called him to give him the information I had just learned. He told me, as we were talking, there was a Metro Officer standing there, confirming the marchers did not have a permit!
I had spoke to many different departments of the City and of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, and can not honestly remember who told me, but I later that day, I was told, and “The Organizers of the march that morning would be given a citation. That made me feel a little better, but I concluded, they would just “Get a slap on the wrist” with a little fine, and they would be on their way.
I called Sheriff Young’s office in an attempt to confirm this, but the office was closed for the day. Knowing I would not be able to continue my investigation, I decided to wait until the next day.
Later that evening I was listening to Mark Edward’s “Wake Up America” talk radio program on K-DWN AM720 (a 50,000 watt clear channel station heard in 11 – 14 western states), where Jim Dallas was setting in for “under the weather” Mark Edwards.
Of course, their discussion was about illegal aliens, as it always is, and they were talking about the marchers. I decided to call in my report, and did the topic ever heat up! For the next 2 hours, you could hear the feelings of the entire west coast. They were angry, and I don't blame them, so was I, and I still am.
That next morning, was May 2nd, the 1st Wednesday of the month, when Sheriff Bill Young, or someone from Metro, is on the radio from 7:30 – 8:30 a.m. to talk to the listeners of K-DWN.
I decided this was a perfect opportunity to get it “straight from the horse’s mouth. I dialed the call-in number, and after a few attempts, was able to get through.
I explained to Sheriff Young, that I have held marches numerous times over the past 17 years, and knew that I did NOT have to have a “permit” to march down the Las Vegas Strip, or any other street for that matter as long as the marchers did NOT block the side-walk from others, entrances and/or drive-ways of businesses, and stayed on the sidewalk. I also explained to him that, I was aware, due to safety factors, if a march is to be down the middle of a street, a permit is required.
I then asked Sheriff Young, if any of the organizers (one being the Culinary Union) had obtained permits? If not, were they going to be cited? If so, what would they be cited for? And how much would the fine be? The host, Hart Kirsh, during the hour Sheriff Young was on, disconnected my call, and was not able to have a “dialogue” with the Sheriff, so I had to listen to his response “on-air”.
Sheriff Young stated no one had permits, they were not going to be cited, and therefore no one would be fined. He also stated there were thousands, and he only had about 220 officers, and no one knew there would be this many people in the march.
So, what you have here voters, is our highest LEO (Law Enforcement Officer) of Clark County, Sheriff Bill Young, who has the power to tell any federal government agency, if he wanted too, they MUST come through him first, siding with the law-breakers!
Sheriff Young went on to tell a story, of one of two times a year he is on the streets, and stopped a vehicle on Christmas Eve, full of Mexicans (men, women and children) at 11:30 p.m., on their way to a Christmas party. He said there was no vehicle registration, no driver license, and numerous other violations, which he knew they did not have the money to pay the fines, so he impounded the vehicle, and made sure they were taken to the Christmas Party!
After listening to KDWN for the rest of the day, and everyday since then, including right up to the writing of my column, the voters of Clark County are angry.
“May 1st, was a sad day in Clark County, when the head law-enforcer, sided with the law-breakers, against law-abiding citizens of Clark County!”
Here are some comments law-abiding citizens of Clark County are making:
· Sheriff Young is unfit as Sheriff.
· Sheriff Young is incapable of stopping an invasion of your county.
· Sheriff Young, as well as the entire nation, knew of the March weeks in advance, and should have been prepared.
· Sheriff Young should have started arresting them as they gathered at their meeting place.
· If it had been an American citizen, he would have slapped the cuffs on, thrown the book at us, and sure as hell would not have made sure we made it to our Christmas party in the middle of the night.
· Sheriff Young is playing politics, instead of upholding the law.
· They were an unlawful mob, and the National Guard should have been called out if need be.
· This November, the citizens of Clark County will vote to pass the “Incumbent Removal Act of 2006”
These are just a few of the comments being heard, and personally, I agree with them. It is time the citizens of the United States vote to pass the “Incumbent Removal Act of 2006” in every city, county, state and federal position across this nation.
They have violated their Oath of Office, and must be held accountable for their actions, or should I say their lack of actions.
I can not erase the pictures in my head, seen on the local news channels, from the helicopter cameras, as I watched thousands of “army ants” swarming the streets of Las Vegas!”
I keep asking to myself, “What if this was not a peaceful demonstration?”
There, I have had my say for this week. What do you have to say?

Sheriff will not seek re-election
REVIEW-JOURNAL
Clark County Sheriff Bill Young confirmed this morning that he will not seek a second term as leader of the state's largest law enforcement agency.
Here is a statement Young just released citing the reasons.
"It is with bittersweet feelings that I'm announcing today I will not seek re-election for Clark County Sheriff. I'm profoundly grateful to the men and women of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, commissioned officers and civilian employees, for their dedication during these past four difficult and exciting years. We've enhanced homeland security, aggressively pursued child pornographers, attacked gangs and drug proliferation, and significantly stepped up our crime prevention efforts. 9-1-1 calls are being answered consistently in ten seconds or less for the first time in two decades.
"I also want to thank the citizens of Clark County for supporting our department in many ways, and especially for voting for the 'More Cops' police initiative, which allows us to hire the officers we need to achieve our mission. The partnership between our cops and community is key to Metro's success and a safer Clark County.
"The obvious question is why I will not seek re-election. I have spent my entire adult life, 28 years, as a cop. I started as a patrolman and ultimately was honored to lead the police department I love. Twenty-eight years is a long time by anyone's measure. There is not one single reason for my decision. Several significant events this past year have caused me to reflect on the direction I would take.
"The tragic and unexpected death of my mother and uncle, the brutal killing of Sergeant Prendes, and the realization that the time I was spending with my family, while precious, was growing increasingly short. I realized that life is fragile, and having more time with my family, my friends and myself has grown increasingly important. During the next eight months I will continue to lead this department. While I have several exciting opportunities in the private sector, my family and I will make that decision after I have completed my term.
"Finally, while it is solely his decision, I have urged Undersheriff Doug Gillespie to seek election to replace me as Sheriff. Doug has been my partner in running this department and is greatly respected by the men and women of Metro. The community could not do any better than Doug Gillespie.
"I conclude by again simply saying thank you to all whom I have served with for the past 28 years. To my troops working at Metro today, keep up your great work and be safe."

My question is...What changed his mind? He has had his campaign signs out for a month or two! I wonder if it had anything to do with the May 1st marches?

Why Aren't Americans In The Streets In Numbers?
To answer this question, let’s take a look at the history of May Day, and who are supporting the racists, legal and illegal aliens recent protests, and their demands. At the end of this article, you'll have the answer.
May 1st, better known as May Day, has long been a focal point for demonstrations by various socialist, communist, and anarchist groups.
In the 20th Century, May Day received the official endorsement of the Soviet Union; celebrations in communist countries during the Cold War era often consisted of large military parades and shows of common people in support of the government.
In most of the world today, May Day is marked by massive street rallies led by workers, their trade unions and various socialist and communist parties.
The Washington Times reported the massive pro-illegal immigrant demonstration in Los Angeles was organized by International A.N.S.W.E.R., which is a Communist organization, and a front, for the Workers World Party. The Workers World Party has been around for quite a while. It is one of the last unapologetically Stalinist organizations in the world; it supported the Soviet invasion of Hungary in 1956. More recently, the WWP and A.N.S.W.E.R. have supported dictators like Saddam Hussein and North Korea's Kim II Jong.
The media has failed to report that organized labor directed the illegals and minors. The L.A. Times revealed the rally’s “security” was handled by a union identified only as “Local 1877.” That would be local 1877 of the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), the far-Left union founded by New Left radical Andrew Stern. According to the L.A. Times, the SEIU’s goons kindly helped “herd marchers along the route.” That was not the extent of SEIU’s help, though. The union also “coordinated the more than 100 buses that dropped off marchers from throughout California, Las Vegas and a few Southwestern cities.”
In other words, the massive rally against Homeland Security – since that is what gaining control of America’s borders would promote – was staged by a leftist labor union and staffed primarily with illegal immigrants.
SEIU did not work alone in this. It was aided by other radical or left-wing political pressure groups, including:
· Southern California Human Rights Network (SCHRN), whose members are apparently affiliated with the International Socialist Organization. SCHRN drafted a resolution in Orange County declaring, “We believe that no human is illegal and oppose the criminalization, dehumanization, and exploitation of migrants, immigrants and or economic and political refugees, by means of media, legislation, ideology, rhetoric, etc.
· Pomona Day Labor Center, which helps employers hire “day laborers.” One must presume this organization knows its employees are illegals.
· Central American Resource Center, which advocates for illegals and lobbies for the government to make a “‘presumption’ of hardship” for and grant “permanent residency” to Central American illegals.
· Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights of Los Angeles (CHIRLA), founded in 1986 to “get as many people as possible through the amnesty program established” by Ronald Reagan.
Gone from the media coverage, too, was mention that these protests had all the hallmarks of leftist riots of bygone days. Hispanic protestors burned American flags at the L.A. rallies
The “mainstream media” has reported some 300 clergy met near the Capitol for a prayer service to support illegal immigrants. The rally flyer claims these concerns sacerdotal ministers objected to legislation that would “Deny basic civil rights to immigrants.” No outlet reported this meeting was organized by the far-Left Center for Community Change, a member of the United for Peace and Justice Coalition, headed by atheist and Marxist Leslie Cagan.
On the CCC Board of Directors are:
· Former Rep. Ron Dellums, D-CA, the ranking Democrat on the House Armed Services Committee 1993-7. Cecelia Munoz, VP of the National Council of La Raza;
· Sara K. Gould of the Ms. Foundation for Women;
· Peter Edelman, a professor at Georgetown Law School, former Clinton administration official, and board president of the New Israel Fund., and
· Sandra L. Ferniza, Arizona State University’s director of the Office of Public Affairs.
CCC is generously funded by the Carnegie Corporation of New York, the Ford Foundation, the William Randolph Hearst Foundation, the George Soros-funded Open Society Institute, the Rockefeller Foundation, and the Tides Foundation.
· Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN).
· League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC). Steve Brown and Chris Coon reported, “Jos? Velez, the head of LULAC 1990-1994 used his “special status with the INS” to submit false papers for over 6,000 illegals seeking amnesty.” LULAC is today associated with race-based Affirmative Action programs and often allied with Jesse Jackson’s Rainbow/PUSH Coalition.
· Massachusetts Immigrant and Refugee Advocacy Coalition.
· National Council of La Raza, a race-based organization that signed the “Statement of Solidarity with Migrants,” calling on the government to recognize the contributions of illegal immigrants to the labor market. and
· The Gamaliel Foundation, a leftist organization inspired by Saul Alinsky. In addition to lobbying for illegal aliens, this member of the “Religious Left” hosted a campaign event in 2003 featuring Sen, Russ Feingold, D-WI, and then-presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich.
Now, how do you expect Americans to compete with these Communist organizations, with big-money corporations supporting them?

Editorial
· Former Rep. Ron Dellums, D-CA, the ranking Democrat on the House Armed Services Committee 1993-7. Cecelia Munoz, VP of the National Council of La Raza;
· Sara K. Gould of the Ms. Foundation for Women;

U.S. Border Patrol is to notify the Mexican government of Minutemen Locations!
U.S. Tipping Mexico to Minuteman patrols
By Sara A. Carter, Staff Writer
While Minuteman civilian patrols are keeping an eye out for illegal border crossers, the U.S. Border Patrol is keeping an eye out for Minutemen -- and telling the Mexican government where they are.
According to three documents on the Mexican Secretary of Foreign Relations Web site, the U.S. Border Patrol is to notify the Mexican government as to the location of Minutemen and other civilian border patrol groups when they participate in apprehending illegal immigrants -- and if and when violence is used against border crossers.
A U.S. Customs and Border Protection spokesman confirmed the notification process, describing it as a standard procedure meant to reassure the Mexican government that migrants' rights are being observed.
"It's not a secret where the Minuteman volunteers are going to be," Mario Martinez said Monday.
"This ... Simply makes two basic statements -- that we will not allow any lawlessness of any type, and that if an alien is encountered by a Minuteman or arrested by the Minuteman, then we will allow that government to interview the person."
Minuteman members were not so sanguine about the arrangement, however, saying that reporting their location to Mexican officials nullifies their effectiveness along the border and could endanger their lives.
"Now we know why it seemed like Mexican officials knew where we were all the time," said Chris Simcox, founder of the Minuteman Civil Defense Corps. "It's unbelievable that our own government agency is sending intelligence to another country. They are sending intelligence to a nation where corruption runs rampant, and that could be getting into the hands of criminal cartels.
"They just basically endangered the lives of American people."
Officials with the Mexican consulate in Washington, D.C., could not be reached for comment Monday.
Martinez said reporting the location of immigrant apprehensions to consulate representatives is common practice if an illegal immigrant requests counsel or believes they have been mistreated.
"Once an illegal alien is apprehended, they can request counsel," he said. "We have to give their counsel the information about their apprehension, and that includes where they are apprehended, whether a Minuteman volunteer spotted them or a citizen."
Martinez said Mexico's official perception of the civilian groups is that they are vigilantes, a belief the Border Patrol hoped to allay by entering into the cooperative agreement.
One of the documents on the Web site, "Actions of the Mexican Government in Relation to the Activities of Vigilante Groups," states that Mexican consulate representatives stay in close contact with Border Patrol chiefs to ensure the safety of migrants trying to enter the U.S., those being detained and the actions of all "vigilantes" along the border.
"The Mexican consul in Presidio also contacted the chief of the Border Patrol in the Marfa Sector to solicit his cooperation in case they detect any activity of `vigilantes,' and was told to immediately contact the consulate if there was," according to the document.
"Presidio" refers to Presidio County, Texas, which is in the Big Bend region and a gateway to northern Mexico.
The document also describes a meeting with San Diego Border Patrol sector chief Darryl Griffen.
"(Griffen) said that the Border Patrol will not permit any violence or any actions contrary to the law by the groups, and he is continuously aware of (the volunteer organizations') operations," according to the document. "Mr. Griffen reiterated to the undersecretary his promise to notify the General Consul right away when the vigilantes detain or participate in the detention of any undocumented Mexicans."
The documents specifically named the Minuteman Civil Defense Corps and its patrols, which began monitoring Arizona's southern border in April 2005, as well as Friends of the Border Patrol, a Chino-based nonprofit.
TJ Bonner, president of the National Border Patrol Council, a union representing more than 10,000 Border Patrol agents,
"It worries me (that the Mexican government) seems to be unduly influencing our enforcement policies. That's not a legitimate role for any foreign nation," Bonner said, though he added, "It doesn't surprise me."
Border Patrol agents interviewed by the Daily Bulletin said they have been asked to report to sector headquarters the location of all civilian volunteer groups, but to not file the groups' names in reports if they spot illegal immigrants.
"Last year an internal memo notified all agents not to give credit to Minuteman volunteers or others who call in sightings of illegal aliens," said one agent, who spoke on the condition he not be identified. "We were told to list it as a citizen call and leave it at that. Many times, we were told not to go out to Minuteman calls."
The document also mentions locations of field operations of Friends of the Border Patrol, which patrolled the San Diego sector from June to November 2005. Mexican officials had access to the exact location of the group founded by Andy Ramirez, which ran its patrols from the Rough Acre Ranch, a private property in McCain Valley.
Ramirez said that for safety reasons, he disclosed the location of his ranch patrol only to San Diego Border Patrol and law enforcement officials. The group did not apprehend or spot any undocumented migrants in that area.
"We did not release this information ... to the media or anyone else," Ramirez said. "We didn't want to publicize that information. But there it is, right on the Mexican government's Web site, and our government gave it to them."

*Webmasters comments: I heard of this last Oct. and called the N.M Border Patrol office and asked if my 'intel.' was correct, in that they were disclosing the locations of the MM patrols, and the Agent that answered the phone, said to me "hold on, and then I heard him say to someone in the room, "you better take this one." When I asked the 'supervisor' if they were indeed alerting someone across the border as to the location of the MM patrols, he totally denied it. I thanked him for his time, and also for the service to our Country and it's security and hung up.
Now, it is proven that I was lied to in that coversation. To that Agent, SHAME ON YOU FOR SELLING OUT AMERICA! You are NO better than the sell-outs in Washington. Some of us Minutemen have quit our jobs, camped out at the border and risked our lives for this great Country and admired the jobs that you guys have done, and you sell us out?
Next time you see a Minuteman, you might want to explain your actions, and perhaps we'll start to respect and/or trust you again. Because until now, I prayed for your safety everynight.
Now search your souls and see if you're happy with yourselves. I know I wouldn't be!
If/when one of us gets shot out there (and you know how easy it can happen) because you disclosed our location, it will be 'the start' of the fight in our streets. Not only will the Minutemen come to the border and throw the S.O.P. out the window and do what is needed, but the guys that hadn't been to the border (but supported us and the misson) will come and all of America will take notice.
IS THAT WHAT YOU WANT? I know it's what Bush wants! He's wanting to open our borders with Mexico and Canada and have them open by 2010,(look up CAFTA) and you'll see what they passed and have discussed in March of 2005, and March of 2006. Then you'll know why Washington doesn't want to secure the borders.
But the American people won't give up their Country that easily. We will fight for it, like our forefathers did.
Now the question is, are you willing to fight for it as well, and be proud to tell your Grandchildren (in English) that America if still the home of the free and something to be proud of. *Or* are you complacant enough to ASSIST the sellout of our Great Nation and it's people and tell the Mexican Govt. where the Minutemen are, knowing that you could possibly be signing their death warrants?
If your answer is the later, then I beg that you resign from your job and find another. You can help your fellow Man in another capacity, without selling out America and the few true Patriots that are willing to VOLUNTEER doing the job that you're doing.
I say Quit! Or JOIN US IN HELPING SECURE AMERICA and abide by the oath that you were given. It was in English, wasn't it?

Corrupt Mayor and Council Members Fired!
Immigrant Backlash In Herndon Voters Oust Leaders Who Supported Center
By Bill Turque and Nikita Stewart-Washington Post staff writers
Wednesday, May 3, 2006; Page A01
Herndon voters yesterday unseated the mayor and town
council members who supported a bitterly debated day labor center for
immigrant workers in a contest that emerged as a mini-referendum on the
turbulent national issue of illegal immigration. Residents replaced the
incumbents with a group of challengers who immediately called for
significant changes at the center. Some want to bar public funds from
being spent on the facility or restrict it to workers residing in the
country legally. Others want it moved to an industrial site away from the
residential neighborhood where it is located. The day labor center thrust
the western Fairfax County town into the national spotlight as the issue
of illegal immigration got emotional. Even though fewer than 3,000 people
voted yesterday, advocates on both sides of the debate looked at the
election as a test case of public sentiment. During the original debate,
outside groups such as the Minutemen Project, which favors sharp curbs on
illegal immigration, intervened in the town debate. Judicial Watch, a
conservative legal group, is suing the town over establishment of the
labor center.

ELECTION 2008
Founder of Minutemen targets run for president
Jim Gilchrist eyes bid with Constitution Party, claims Republicans 'sold out our sovereignty'
Posted: April 30, 20069:44 p.m. Eastern
By Jerome R. Corsi, Ph.D.© 2006 WorldNetDaily.com
Jim Gilchrist, founder of the Minuteman Project, is considering a run for president in 2008 representing the Constitution Party.
Gilchrist has just returned from Florida where he met with the party's national committee.
Chairman James Clymer told WorldNetDaily the party was excited about the possibility of Gilchrist as its marquis candidate.
"Yes, indeed, we are interested," Clymer said. "Gilchrist spoke to us last weekend in Tampa and our people asked Jim then if he would be the candidate. We think it would be wonderful if Jim Gilchrist would seriously consider being our presidential candidate."
Gilchrist told WND the only candidate he would support as the Republican Party presidential nominee in 2008 was Rep. Tom Tancredo, R-Colo.
"If John McCain enters the race for president," Gilchrist said. "I will definitely run. John McCain should have forfeited his right to run for president on the Republican Party the moment he put his name on immigration legislation with Sen. Ted Kennedy."
Gilchrist and the Constitution Party both agree on the need to secure the southern border with Mexico. Commenting on the street demonstrations planned for tomorrow, Gilchrist said they are nothing more than "a declaration that we are no longer a nation governed by the rule of law, but that we are being ruled by mob rule."
Asked whether he felt President Bush's "guest worker" program or the administration's "pathway to citizenship" were reasonable compromises, Gilchrist reacted sharply: "The Republican Party is going to pay a huge price for pandering to what they think is going to be an illegal-alien vote and for their reckless disregard for the rule of law. The Republican Party has sold out our sovereignty."
Gilchrist told WND that he thought his third-party candidacy could be viable, noting "the country is ready for a third-party candidate, just like the country was ready for Ross Perot in 1992."
Gilchrist was harshly critical of Bush's leadership on the immigration issue.
"The president should resign," Gilchrist asserted. "The Congress should begin impeachment proceedings if President Bush will not resign. President Bush has shown he is incompetent to handle his job. It amounts to dereliction of duty that President Bush has left our border with Mexico wide open while supposedly he is fighting a war on terror."
Asked if he thought the recent arrests by the Department of Homeland Security cracking down on companies who hire illegal aliens was effective, Gilchrist dismissed the administration's efforts.
"It's nothing more than a show," Gilchrist argued. "DHS just served up another 'photo op.'"
"The political fix is on," Gilchrist warned. "The president thinks he has a compromise that the Republican leadership and the Democratic leadership can ram through Congress, but it's going to end up being jammed down the throats of the 300 million people the president is supposed to be preserving, protecting and defending."
Gilchrist dismissed President Bush's attempt to get "comprehensive immigration reform" passed by Congress before the August recess. "Any law the Bush administration supports," Gilchrist predicted, "will be just like all the other immigration laws – a sellout. The administration plans to forget about the enforcement parts as soon as President Bush can shake hands with Ted Kennedy, right after he signs the law into effect. It's all a wink-wink game the Republicans have started playing with the Democrats. Both parties are really just the same. Neither party wants to secure or border with Mexico."
How about "guest workers"?
"The 'guest worker' program, or whatever the PR guys at the White House decide to call it," Gilchrist answered, "will be nothing more than an amnesty. We're going to wave the magic wand and 30 million illegal aliens will somehow become citizens, despite the fact that they march under the Mexican flag and make up their own national anthem in Spanish. Pretty soon there will be 50 million illegal aliens here. Who knows? As far as George Bush and Sen. Ted Kennedy are concerned, the more the merrier."
The Constitution Party supported Gilchrist in 2005, when he ran as an independent for Congress after Rep. Chris Cox, R-Calif., resigned to become chairman of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Committee. Gilchrist received 25.5 percent of the vote in the general election, losing to Republican John Campbell. At that time, Clymer put out a strong statement supporting Gilchrist's candidacy. According to Dec. 15 party press release.
Jim Clymer, chairman of the Constitution Party, believes that a major change is in order. Both the House and the Senate have been thoroughly corrupted by influence-peddling for decades, Clymer said. But the solution is not to run the Democrats to power or to elect a more ethical Republican majority. The solution, according to Clymer, is to jettison the two major parties altogether and to start afresh with principle-based leadership.
In 1992, Howard Philips left the Republican Party to found the U.S. Taxpayers Party and ran as the party's presidential candidate. In 1995, the party became the fifth political party to be recognized by the Federal Election Commission as a national political party. In 1999, the party changed its name to the Constitution Party.
During the Nixon administration, Philips headed two federal agencies, serving last as the director of the U.S. Office of Economic Opportunity.
A third-party candidate could represent a viable challenge to the Democrats in 2008.
A recent Rasmussen poll indicated disillusionment over President Bush's immigration policy could lead to a tie, with 31 percent of voters going for the Democratic Party presidential candidate, 31 percent going for a third-party independent arguing to build a wall on the border, and 21 percent for the Republican candidate.
Gilchrist, a Marine veteran with 13 months combat experience in Vietnam, presents himself in an unassuming fashion.
"I'm just an average Joe citizen," Gilchrist told WND. "What we've proved is that an average Joe citizen can come out of nowhere and not only create the Minuteman Project, but can also run for president. I want to bring common sense and rule of law back into our national dialogue."

An American Working in Mexico
American working in Mexico- From the other side of the fence.....
Received the following from (Tom O'Malley) who was a Director with SWBELL in Mexico City.
You remember I spent five years working in Mexico. I worked under a tourist Visa for three months and could legally renewit for three more months. After that you were working Illegally. I was technically illegal for three weeks waiting on the FM3 approval. During that six months our Mexican and US Attorneys were working to secure a permanent work visa called a FM3. It was in addition to my US passport that I had to show each time I entered and left the country. Barbara's was the same except hers did not permit her to work. To apply for the FM3 I needed to submit the following notarized originals (not copies) of my:
1. Birth certificate for Barbara and I.
2. Marriage certificate.
3. High school transcripts and proof of graduation.
4. College transcripts for every college I attended and proof of graduation.
5. Two letters of recommendation from supervisors I had worked for at least one year.
6. A letter from The ST. Louis Chief of Police indication I had no arrest record in the US and no outstanding warrants and was "a citizen in good standing."
7. Finally; I had to write a letter about myself that clearly stated why there was no Mexican Citizen with my skills and why my skills were important to Mexico. We called it our "I am the greatest person on Earth" letter. It was fun to write.
All of the above were in English that had to be translated into Spanish and be certified as legal translations and our signatures notarized. It produced a folder about 1.5 inches thick with English on the left side and Spanish on the right.
Once they were completed Barbara and I spent about five hours accompanied by a Mexican Attorney touring Mexican Government
office locations and being photographed and fingerprinted at least
three times. At each location and we remember at least four locations
we instructed on Mexican tax, labor, housing, and criminal law and that
we were required to obey their laws or face the consequences.
We could not protest any of the Governments actions or we would
be committing a felony. We paid out four thousand dollars in fees and bribes to complete the process. When this was done we could legally bring in our household goods that were held by US customs in Laredo Texas. This meant we had rented furniture in Mexico while awaiting our goods. There were extensive fees involved here that the company paid. We could not buy a home and were required to rent at very high rates and under contract and compliance with Mexican law. We were required to get a Mexican drivers license. This was an amazing process. The company arranged for the Licensing agency to come to our Headquarters location with their photography and finger print equipment and the laminating machine. We showed our US license, were photographed and fingerprinted again and issued the license
instantly after paying out a six dollar fee.
We did not take a written or driving test and never received instructions on the rules of the road. Our only instruction was never give a policeman your license if stopped and asked. We were instructed to hold it against the inside window away from his grasp.
If he got his hands on it you would have to pay ransom to get it back. We then had to pay and file Mexican income tax annually using the number of our FM3 as our ID number. The companies Mexican
accountants did this for us and we just signed what they prepared. I was
about twenty legal size pages annually. The FM 3 was good for three years and renewable for two more after paying more fees. Leaving the country meant turning in the FM# and certifying we were leaving no debts behind and no outstanding legal affairs (warrants, tickets or liens) before our household goods were released to customs. It was a real adventure and If any of our Senators or Congressman went through it once they would have a different attitude toward Mexico. The Mexican Government uses its vast military and police forces to keep its citizens intimidated and compliant. They never protest at
their White house or government offices but do protest daily in
front of the United States Embassy. The US embassy looks like a
strongly reinforced fortress and during most protests the Mexican
Military surround the block with their men standing shoulder to shoulder in full riot gear to protect the Embassy.
These protests are never shown on US or Mexican TV. There is a large public park across the street where they do their protesting. Anything can cause a protest such as proposed law changes in California or Texas.
Please feel free to share this with everyone who thinks we are being hard on illegal immigrants.

Officials still have no leads on missing Tamaulipas judge

MIGUEL ALEMAN, Mexico — Nearly three weeks since a state judge apparently disappeared during a desolate highway commute to work, officials haven't made any arrests or named any suspects.
Judge Diana Margarita Canales Cárdenas, 42, heard civil cases in the Tamaulipas state's 6th District Court in this border town across from Roma.
She lived in Nuevo Laredo but drove the 90 miles each way and was apparently last seen at a checkpoint by Mexican soldiers who recognized her from her daily passage through.
"It's already been 18 days missing," her replacement, Jorge Chavez Martinez, said Friday. "She has been searched for by helicopter (and) special trucks from here to the northern edge of Coahuila and Nuevo Leon. We still don't know what happened."
Local authorities confirmed Canales is missing, but forwarded all other questions about the case to the commandant of the state ministerial police, Hector Fernando Vallejo Garcia, in the capital city of Victoria. He did not return a call seeking comment.
Photographs of Canales, a tall woman with short hair with red tints, and the 2005 red four-door Ford Lobo pickup she was last seen in, are posted locally on the doors of various law enforcement offices.
A prosecutor here initially speculated she might have been robbed because it's such a lonely road. It passes through rugged terrain where the national oil company Pemex has several natural gas lines, and many of the supervisors drive the same type of truck.
Her husband, Jorge Rodriguez Gonzalez of Nuevo Laredo, told police his wife didn't have enemies and that he last saw her leaving for work around 8 a.m. He started retracing her route when a colleague in her office informed him around 11 a.m. that she hadn't arrived.
He told police soldiers on the outskirts of Nuevo Laredo saw her pass through around 8:15 a.m.
Family members were worried because Canales, who has three children, takes medication daily for a recent operation and a thyroid illness.
"In as many years as I can remember, I can't recall a similar case involving a state judge," said Raul Almaguen Miranda, another state judge who hears minor crimes and whose office is near Canales' office. "We hope that she will be found soon."
